HDR Cookbook – Before and After: The Refuge (HDR Panorama)
This is the before-and-after comparison of “The Refuge (HDR Panorama)“. The final image was created from 5×5 TIFF files (series of 5 manually bracketed RAW images that were converted to TIFFs using Abobe Camera RAW with). You can see the 25 source images on the left side. These images were merged into 5 32-bit HDRs and tone-mapped with Photomatix Pro 4.0 (details enhancer option) using the same settings for each image. The resulting 5 16-bit TIF images (lower left) where then stitched using Photoshop CS4. The result of the stitching, perspective correction, cropping, and retouching can be seen at the upper right. In lower right, you see the final image after a number of post-processing steps executed in Photoshop CS4.
