Ko Panyi is a very interesting little town in Thailand’s Phang Nga district. In the 18th century, Thai law would let only people of Thai national origins own land. Therefore, nomadic Malay fisherman built their settlement on stilts in the water. Pretty clever, he? Today, it is a tourist attraction due to its unusual construction and history. If you ever happen to visit the famous James Bond Rock, chances are that you will have your lunch right here at Ko Panyi island.
